About The Queen's Head
The Queen's Head is located in the quintessential English village of West Chiltington. Despite it's Grade II listing as a building of historic interest, little is actually known about the Inn other than as an 18th century building it fronts a much smaller and earlier dwelling ,probably of 17th century origin. Thought to be named after Ann of Cleaves, the fourth wife of Henry VIII, who in 1540 was briefly the Queen of England and as part of her annulment settlement was given land in the area by the King.
